LCA Board Of Directors

Leadership

LCA has set Jesus Christ as head of this ministry, first and foremost, and we rely on His guidance and direction.  The Board of Directors uses the Holy Bible in seeking wisdom in all decision making and to serve our students in a Christ-like way.

"Even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”  Matthew 20:28 ESV

We want to lead with a servant's heart, as Jesus did during His ministry on earth, and lead by example to all that we serve through this ministry.  In that, others will see the love of Christ's sacrifice on the cross.

The Word Of God

Meet The Team

The Board of Directors can have up to 5 members setting on the Board.  The Board meets once a month, with options for special meetings when the need arises.  Each member of the Board has an Area of Focus that each one is assigned to for what LCA sees as important aspects for the ministry to function in a manner to fulfill the mission.

Director of Christian Values

Stephen Joshua Hammer:  Being a Christian is something I don't take lightly because it is more than a religion to me, it is living my life in the presence of the Almighty Living God.  The God that created the heavens and the earth and everything in it, and then sent the Savior, after His creation sinned against Him.  I sin every day but I repent and ask for forgiveness, while I try to live my live to imitate Christ Jesus.  I pray that in that imitation of Christ, others that I am around will be influenced by that love of Jesus, despite all of my flaws.  As Living Christ Academy continues to grow and develop into a ministry as God sees fit, I pray that everyone who connects to LCA sees the importance of everyone having access to a solid Biblical teaching, to thrive in this dark world, and see the light of salvation in Jesus Christ.

47 years ago, I was born into a loving Christian home and at age 11, I accepted Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior and was baptized.  I have been attending the Leon Christian Church for most of my life, where I serve as an Elder, youth Sunday School teacher, chair of the Missions Committee, and became an ordained minister in May 2022 by the Leon Christian Church.  I am married to my wife Chris and we have 4 children, 3 of which are grown and out of the house.  My favorite verse is Matthew 20:28 "Even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many."  This scripture reminds me daily that I need to serve others and LCA is just the opportunity to do so.

Zeb LaClefZeb was raised in and around Leon, KS. He came to faith and decided to follow Jesus early in life with the influence of his grandparents and great grandma. He attended Leon Christian Church during his childhood and teenage years. He married a fellow LCC member and they have 5 children. Zeb and his wife realized early in their marriage they wanted to homeschool their children for obvious reasons as it relates to Faith and Family. He realizes homeschool is not an option for every family and is committed to helping facilitate affordable Christian conservative education any way he can.
